A pedestrian was struck by two vehicles and killed in Fresno late Friday night, July 11, 2025.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred just before 11:00 p.m. on Clinton Avenue between Marks and Valentine Avenues.
Responding officers located the man, believed to be in his 50s, in the westbound lanes of Marks Avenue.
Investigators from the Collision Reconstruction Unit and Hit-and-Run Division believe the man was initially hit by one vehicle and then struck a second time after a brief interval.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police stated that the first driver fled, while the second driver remained at the scene, cooperated with authorities, and showed no signs of impairment.
Authorities are continuing to search the area for evidence and surveillance footage. The investigation remains ongoing.
