A male pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on southbound Interstate 5 in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2025.
According to emergency dispatch reports, the crash occurred at approximately 2:59 p.m. Authorities determined the victim was beyond medical help and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Traffic on southbound I-5 was significantly impacted, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
The California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident. No further details were immediately available.
