[09-29-2026] Fresno County, CA – Pedestrian Injured, Driver Arrested After Hit-and-Run Crash in Parlier

A 49-year-old pedestrian sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Parlier, Fresno County, on Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026.

According to the Parlier Police Department, officers responded at around 7:35 a.m. to the intersection of Tulare and Bigger streets after receiving a report of an injured person lying in the roadway.

Police determined that the 49-year-old Parlier resident had been struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The driver left the scene before officers arrived.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.

During the investigation, police located the vehicle involved and its driver. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as 28-year-old Jozmar E. of Parlier. He was taken into custody and booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.

The investigation is ongoing.
