A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Central Fresno on Thursday night, February 27, 2025.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the fatal accident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hughes and Michigan.
The man was reportedly in the roadway when he was hit by a southbound vehicle driven by a woman.
He sustained serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The driver, who had children in her vehicle at the time of the collision, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The police confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the incident. The Fresno Police Department is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
