[02-15-2025] Major Injury Crash on 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks Under InvestigationA major injury crash involving two vehicles is under investigation after reports of a possible altercation before the collision on the northbound 101 Freeway near Ventu Park Road in Thousand Oaks early Saturday morning, February 15, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. involving at least two and possibly three vehicles in traffic lanes.

Authorities received conflicting reports that two individuals were fighting near the vehicles and that one person was pushed into traffic, where they were struck by a vehicle.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, and at least one injured person was transported to the hospital with major injuries.

The CHP stopped all lanes of traffic while investigating the incident. More than three hours later, officers cleared the scene and officially labeled the case as a major injury two-vehicle crash.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities continue to investigate.
