A woman in her 30s was critically injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday night, January 25, 2025, in southeast Fresno.

According to the Fresno Police Department, officers responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Fifth Street. Upon arrival, they found the woman lying injured in the roadway. She was transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Investigators determined that the woman was in the roadway before the collision. The vehicle that struck her, believed to be a red pickup truck, fled the scene, heading eastbound on Belmont Avenue without rendering aid.
