A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while using a crosswalk in northeast Fresno early Monday morning, January 27, 2025.
The deadly collision occurred just before 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Shaw and First, according to Fresno police.
Authorities reported that the man was in the crosswalk on Shaw Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities stated that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation.
