[06-29-2024] Two People Killed, Three Others Injured Following Suspected Two-Vehicle DUI Crash Near Reedley Two people were killed, and three others were injured following a suspected two-vehicle DUI crash near Reedley on Saturday evening, June 29, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Englehart and Manning Avenues. 

Authorities stated that the collision involved a Ford F-150 and a Chevy Impala. The Chevy driver was driving southbound on Englehart Avenue, approaching a stop sign at Manning. Meanwhile, the Ford, occupied by three people, was heading westbound on the through road of Manning Avenue. 

For unknown reasons, the Chevy failed to stop at the stop sign and traveled in the path of the Ford. The Ford T-boned the Chevy, which resulted in significant vehicle damage. 

Police said that two men inside the Chevy were pronounced dead at the scene, while three occupants of the Ford suffered minor injuries. The deceased people were described to be in their 30s, but the identities of the injured victims were not immediately known. There is no word yet on their current condition as of this writing. 

CHP is investigating to confirm if alcohol played a role in the collision because some evidence suggests it might have.

Further information will be released by the authorities. The investigation is ongoing.
