[08-17-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Boyle Heights

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles early Monday morning, August 17, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were reported before 5 a.m. to the area of Washington Boulevard and Soto Street.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.

Police said the driver who struck the pedestrian fled before officers arrived. No description of the vehicle or driver was immediately available.
