[06-16-2026] Fresno County, CA – Teen in Electric Scooter Critically Injured in Crash Involving Vehicle in Selma

A teenager is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter in Selma, Fresno County, on Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2026.

According to the Selma Police Department, officers responded to the crash just before 1:40 p.m. to the intersection of Rose and Highland Avenues.

Authorities reported that the teen rider was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The cause remains under investigation.
