[02-15-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Killed in Head-On Collision in Desert Hot Springs

One person was killed after two vehicles collided head-on in Desert Hot Springs on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2026. 

The crash was reported at around 4:56 p.m. at North Indian Canyon Drive and Pierson Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A witness told CHP that a white Honda Civic and a gray Lexus collided head-on, and one of the vehicles caught fire. Authorities later reported that one person died at a hospital around 7:40 p.m.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
