[02-09-2026] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Palm Desert

A pedestrian was hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Palm Desert, Riverside County, on Monday morning, February 9, 2026.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported around 9:45 a.m. near the area of El Paseo and Ocotillo Drive. 

The injured pedestrian was transported by ground ambulance to a trauma center for treatment. Details regarding the events leading up to the crash were not immediately available.

Officials confirmed that the driver involved remained at the scene. No arrests were reported in connection with the incident.
