[01-16-2026] Fresno County, CA – Teen Injured in Crash with Big Rig on Minniwawa Ave. in North Clovis

A teenage girl was hospitalized in critical condition after crashing into a big rig Friday morning in north Clovis, January 16, 2026.

According to the Clovis Police Department, the crash occurred on Minniwawa Avenue, just south of Shepherd Avenue. 

Investigators found that the teenage female driver was traveling in a van when she collided with a semi-truck.

The driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Officers believe the crash may be fog-related, but the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is continuing to investigate.
