A woman was paralyzed, and a man sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on Kenamar Drive in the Miramar neighborhood of San Diego on Friday morning, November 15, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. when a 22-year-old man driving a 2018 Suzuki motorcycle attempted to perform a wheelie with a 34-year-old woman riding as a passenger. The maneuver caused both riders to fall off the bike.
Both individuals were transported by ambulance to a hospital. The driver suffered a foot injury, while the passenger sustained a fractured vertebra, leaving her paralyzed below the mid-back, police confirmed.
The incident remains under investigation.
