A man was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while running across a street outside of the crosswalk in Vista on Monday afternoon, November 11, 2024.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred just after 2:00 p.m. in the 800 block of Sycamore Avenue.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the man ran eastbound across Sycamore Avenue before being struck by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
