One person was killed and as many as three others were injured in a collision on state Route 125 in La Mesa early Sunday morning, October 26, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. on northbound SR-125 at Spring Street. Authorities said the incident involved two or three vehicles and resulted in at least two, possibly three injuries.
A SigAlert was issued, and the freeway remained closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
