A bicyclist is in critical condition following a crash with a car in Fresno on Friday morning, September 13, 2024.
According to California Highway Patrol officers, the collision occurred around 4:45 a.m. on Highway 41 near Shields Avenue.
The bicyclist was riding south in the northbound lanes of Highway 41 when they were struck by a Chevy Impala traveling north in the same lane.
The impact caused the bicyclist to be thrown from the bike and land on the roadway. The driver of the Chevy Impala did not see the bicyclist in time to avoid the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
