A woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash involving a Chevy Camaro and a Dodge Ram pickup on Highway 41 in Fresno County on Sunday evening, August 25, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. on southbound Highway 41, south of North Avenue.
The Chevy Camaro collided with the rear of the Dodge Ram, causing the Camaro to spin out of control and strike a guardrail before catching fire. The driver of the Camaro fled the scene on foot.
The woman in the Dodge Ram complained of chest pain and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Camaro, who remains at large, has not been identified.
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. There is no additional information immediately available.
