A teenage girl was injured in a hit-and-run crash in San Diego on Friday night, August 22, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred in a parking lot near Torrey Pines High School following a football game.
Witnesses said the girl, approximately 16 years old, was crossing the street toward a nearby shopping mall when a vehicle suddenly accelerated and struck her.
The collision caused the girl to be thrown onto the hood and windshield before landing on the ground, resulting in a concussion and major road rash. The driver did not stop and fled the scene. Other nearby teens assisted the injured girl until emergency responders arrived.
The victim was transported to a hospital and has since been released. The San Diego Police Department confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
