[08-21-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – 57-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in South LA

A 57-year-old man, identified as 57-year-old Aubrey P., was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Friday night, August 21, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:35 p.m. at Duarte and 55th streets.

Police said a white Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling northbound at the intersection when it struck the pedestrian. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities continue to investigate the fatal incident.
