A head-on collision in rural Marin County left one person dead and another injured on Tuesday morning, August 20, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:00 a.m. on Nicasio Valley Road, just north of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
First responders arrived at the scene to find one person unconscious and trapped in their vehicle. The individual was pronounced dead shortly after. The person in the other vehicle reported experiencing pain.
The CHP and the Marin County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident. The coroner’s office is working to notify the deceased person’s family before releasing their name.
