A pedestrian died after being struck on the 57 Freeway in San Dimas on Saturday night, August 9, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported just before 10:00 p.m. on the southbound freeway near Arrow Highway.
Reports to CHP indicated a man wearing a white shirt was seen walking near the center divider, and another report stated the man was walking in the slow lane.
The southbound No. 3 and 4 lanes, along with the Arrow Highway on-ramp, were closed for a SigAlert following the incident.
A white sedan with front-end damage was stopped on the freeway about a half mile south of the scene, though authorities have not confirmed if it was involved in the fatality.
The incident remains under investigation.
