A 32-year-old rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle hit-and-run collision in Los Angeles on Friday night, August 9, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal incident occurred at about 10:10 p.m. at the intersection of Tampa Avenue and Plummer Street.
Witnesses reported that the victim, who was riding an unspecified motorcycle, was traveling east on Tampa Avenue when a vehicle driven by a man heading south on Plummer Street collided with him. The driver did not stop and fled south immediately after the crash.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcycle rider dead. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The LAPD’s West Traffic Division is currently handling the investigation and is working to locate the suspect. As of now, no official description of the hit-and-run driver and the suspect vehicle has been released.
