A 43-year-old man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, on Tuesday morning, June 17, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the original call came in around 6:05 a.m., reporting a man down near the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Roscoe Boulevards.
Responding officers confirmed the man had been fatally struck by a vehicle. A canopy was requested to cover the body at the scene.
The victim was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Erik Florer.
No description of the suspect or the involved vehicle has been released. Investigators remained at the scene for several hours as the investigation continued.
