[06-07-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Arleta

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Arleta, Los Angeles, late Sunday night, June 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 10:29 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway just north of Osborne Street.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. A news videographer at the scene reported that the pedestrian may have been running on the freeway when struck and was thrown onto the northbound side.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
