A 4-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fresno on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026.
According to the Fresno Police Department, officers responded to reports of a child being hit around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Peach and Nevada Avenues. Upon arrival, they confirmed that the child had been struck by a vehicle whose driver had fled the scene.
Investigations revealed that the boy had been playing on a swing set in his yard while his father and uncle worked on a car. The child managed to exit through a gate unnoticed and wandered into the bike lane. Traffic had stopped for the boy, but as the suspect vehicle approached, the driver drove around the stopped cars and struck the child.
The suspect briefly stopped before fleeing the scene. Officers later located and arrested Aman K., who admitted to the hit-and-run. His vehicle has been impounded as evidence.
The child was transported to a nearby hospital, and his condition remains critical.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
