A woman was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash on Golden State Boulevard in Fresno on Saturday night, March 15, 2025.
According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Jarrod Banta, officers responded to the crash at approximately 7:55 p.m. on the Golden State Boulevard on-ramp toward Highway 99.
Upon arrival, they found the woman lying on the roadway after being hit by an unknown vehicle. A witness reported seeing a pickup truck attached to a trailer in the area, but authorities have not confirmed if that was the vehicle involved.
Banta stated that the victim is believed to have been unhoused, and her identity is pending confirmation by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. Due to poor lighting in the area, it is possible that other vehicles may have also struck the victim following the initial collision.
The CHP is investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward.
