[03-02-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Lake Mathews Area

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Lake Mathews area in Riverside County early Monday morning, March 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at about 4:25 a.m. at the intersection of Gavilan Road and Multiview Drive.

Authorities said the victim was trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
