[02-21-2026] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle Near Golf Center Parkway in Indio

A 40-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Interstate 10 in Indio on Saturday evening, February 21, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on the westbound I-10 near Golf Center Parkway. 

Investigators said the man was crossing from the right shoulder toward the center median when he was struck by a Ford truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic in the area was stalled for several hours as authorities investigated the fatal crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
