[02-14-2025] Riverside County, CA – One Killed, Three Injured After Head-On Crash on Fred Waring Drive in Indio

A 45-year-old woman was killed, and three others were injured following a head-on collision on Fred Waring Drive near Avenue 44 in Indio early Friday morning, February 14, 2025.

According to Indio Police, the crash occurred just before 6:00 a.m. when a BMW sedan veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a Nissan Sentra.

The passenger in the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was transported in stable condition.

Both occupants of the Nissan sustained major injuries and were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, with the driver listed in critical condition.

Fred Waring Drive remains closed between Hoover Street and Monroe Street as authorities investigate.
