A motorist was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona on Monday afternoon, August 18, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 4:00 p.m. in the slow lane of the eastbound 91 Freeway between Serfas Club Drive and West Sixth Street.
CHP said the collision involved a Nissan sedan and a Chevrolet sedan. The Nissan overturned on the freeway shoulder, ejecting its occupant. Reports indicated a tractor-trailer may also have been clipped after the initial impact between the two cars.
Corona Fire Department paramedics arrived within minutes and pronounced the Nissan driver dead at the scene.
Authorities did not provide information on whether the other motorist sustained injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
