[08-12-2025] Sacramento County, CA – Pedestrian Injured After SUV Crashes Into CVS Pharmacy in Galt

A pedestrian was injured after an SUV crashed into a CVS Pharmacy in Galt on Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2025.

According to the Galt Police Department, the incident occurred at 1063 C Street when an 81-year-old woman driving a Jeep Cherokee attempted to park in front of the business.

Police said the driver inadvertently accelerated, causing the vehicle to drive onto the sidewalk, strike a pedestrian, and collide with a metal handrail and the store’s windows.

Both the driver and the pedestrian were treated for injuries at the scene by Cosumnes Fire Department personnel. No customers inside the store were injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
