[08-11-2025] Two People Dead, Two Other Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Chula VistaTwo people were killed and two others were injured after a two-vehicle crash in Chula Vista on Monday night, August 11, 2025.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers responded around 7:45 p.m. to the area of Telegraph Canyon Road and Apache Drive following multiple reports of a collision.

Authorities said a red Ford Mustang traveling west on Telegraph Canyon Road struck a white Subaru Forester making a northbound turn onto Apache Drive from eastbound Telegraph Canyon Road. The Subaru overturned, trapping all four occupants inside until firefighters removed them.

The driver of the Forester, a 75-year-old Chula Vista man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The front passenger, a 76-year-old man, was transported to a local trauma center, where he died from his injuries. Two women in the backseat sustained life-threatening injuries but were reported to be in stable condition at the hospital.

The Mustang’s driver remained at the scene, cooperating with investigators, and was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Authorities said alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors. The Chula Vista Police Traffic Bureau is investigating.
