Three people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a vacant restaurant in Indio on Sunday evening, August 10, 2025.
According to police, the incident occurred at Avenue 48 and Indio Boulevard when a Dodge Charger collided with a Chevy Tahoe. The Charger then crashed into the building, which caught fire.
Authorities said three people were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The vacant restaurant sustained moderate to major damage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police said driving under the influence was not a factor.
