At least one person was transported to a hospital following a traffic collision on Rice Canyon Road in San Diego County on Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2025.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 3:18 p.m. near the 1500 block of Rice Canyon Road.
A convertible Mazda went off the roadway and down an embankment, making the vehicle not visible from the road. The reporting party could only hear voices from the scene, and it was confirmed that the occupants were still inside the vehicle.
CHP and emergency responders arrived at the scene by 3:32 p.m. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known, and the investigation is ongoing.
