[08-05-2025] Pedestrian Killed in Collision with Juvenile Driver on Reservation RoadA 35-year-old pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a juvenile driver on Reservation Road in Monterey County on Tuesday night, August 5, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:57 p.m. just south of Blanco. A 16-year-old male from Seaside was driving southbound on Reservation Road when he collided with the pedestrian, who was also in the southbound lane.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. CHP identified the victim as a 35-year-old man from Marina.

The juvenile driver remained at the scene and was not injured. It is unclear whether the driver was licensed, though CHP confirmed he was not suspected of driving under the influence. The condition of the pedestrian, including whether he was under the influence, has not been disclosed.

The CHP continues to investigate the incident.
