A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash involving an off-road vehicle in the Rowher Flats area in Los Angeles County early Sunday morning, August 3, 2025.
According to California Highway Patrol Newhall-area officials, emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched with a rescue helicopter to locate the 27-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. Fire personnel found both individuals, with the woman being airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
The man was trapped under the off-road vehicle, and firefighters worked to free him. Once extricated, he was also transported to the hospital.
The man was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI. After being released from the hospital, he was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The investigation is ongoing.
