[07-24-2025] Two Injured After Toyota Tundra Flips Into Ravine Near Summit Valley RoadTwo people were injured after a Toyota Tundra flipped into a ravine near Summit Valley Road, San Bernardino County, on Thursday afternoon, July 24, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at approximately 4:43 p.m. when an iPhone crash alert prompted an emergency response. 

The vehicle went over a hill and landed about a mile from the road. CHP officials noted the vehicle may have been off-roading at the time.

The occupants were reported to be awake and alert but sustained injuries, including pain in their heads and hands. At 5:18 p.m., CHP confirmed that the vehicle was connected to Toyota Safety Connect, and the injured individuals indicated they might attempt to walk to the main road.

Desert Valley Towing, assisted by local off-road volunteers from Desert Recovery, successfully retrieved the vehicle from the ravine by 8:07 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Victorville CHP station.
