Three children were seriously injured in a solo golf cart rollover crash near Hidden Valley Lake in Lake County on Thursday evening, July 17, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol Clear Lake Area office, the crash occurred just before 7:00 p.m. on Nicholas Way, west of Francis Lane. Officers responded to a report of a rollover involving a Club Car DS electric golf cart with three juvenile occupants.
CHP’s investigation revealed that an 11-year-old girl was operating the golf cart with two passengers, a 10-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl. While traveling west on Nicholas Way, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and eject all three children.
The girls were transported to Adventist Health Clear Lake and later transferred to UC Davis for further treatment of their injuries.
CHP Officer Luis Estrada is leading the investigation.
