A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Mission Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco early Wednesday morning, July 23, 2025.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:22 a.m. to reports of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at Mission Street and Santa Rosa Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found an injured male and began providing medical aid. Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
Police reported that the driver and vehicle involved fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
