A person was injured in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Imperial County early Thursday morning, July 17, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the individual was found around 1:20 a.m. on East Worthington Road near the Highway 111 off-ramp.
The person initially stated they were unsure if they had been struck by a vehicle, and no vehicle was observed in the area.
Paramedics responded and examined the individual, who later said they had been hit by a vehicle. The victim was flown to an out-of-county hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The CHP is treating the case as a hit-and-run with injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
