A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach on Sunday evening, July 13, 2025.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the collision occurred around 6:35 p.m. on westbound PCH, just west of Golden Avenue.
Emergency responders from the Long Beach Fire Department pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Police stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Speed, distracted driving, and impairment are not believed to be factors in the crash.
Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the LBPD Collision Investigation Detail. The investigation is ongoing.
