A serious traffic disruption occurred after a Dodge Ram truck hauling two cars overturned from the State Route 76 on-ramp onto northbound Interstate 15 in San Diego County on Monday night, July 7, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:37 p.m. when the truck with a fifth-wheel trailer came off the SR-76 overpass, crashing onto the northbound lanes of I-15. The trailer rolled across several middle lanes and came to rest on its side, blocking all lanes except the far-left one.
The incident involved multiple other vehicles, though no injuries were reported at the time. Emergency crews from the North County Fire Protection District and CHP responded swiftly to manage the scene. One vehicle remained occupied as first responders worked to clear the wreckage and debris scattered across the roadway.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
