[07-04-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash on Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale

A man was killed and another driver injured in a head-on crash in Palmdale on Friday night, July 4, 2025.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred around 11:27 p.m. on Rancho Vista Boulevard near Avenue N-8.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was speeding in a 2008 Mazda 3 when he lost control and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a 2010 Chrysler 300.

The driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released, and it is pending notification of next of kin.

The Chrysler driver was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
