A 66-year-old homeless man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Stanton on Sunday night, June 22, 2025.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. to the area of Katella Avenue and Date Street. The victim, later identified as Jeffery D., was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities described the suspect vehicle as a white 2007–2015 Nissan Rogue compact SUV with front-end damage. The driver fled the scene and was last seen heading eastbound on Katella Avenue toward Beach Boulevard.
The investigation remains ongoing.
