A person was killed in a collision on the 10 Freeway in Claremont early Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 4:37 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway, west of Mills Avenue.
Officers initially responded to a crash at the location, where crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were assisting those involved.
While emergency crews were on the scene, a separate vehicle crashed into one of the fire trucks. One person was pronounced dead at the scene of this second collision. No injuries were reported among firefighters.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
