Six people were injured in a collision involving a big rig and a minivan on southbound Interstate 215 in Menifee on Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 9:00 a.m., just south of the Newport Road exit.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and confirmed that three adults and three juveniles sustained moderate injuries. All were transported to a local hospital for treatment. It was not immediately known which vehicles the injured individuals occupied.
As of 10:36 a.m., tow services were in progress for both the minivan and the big rig. CHP reported the truck was hauling an empty refrigerated trailer typically used for transporting temperature-sensitive goods.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
