Two women from Redlands were killed in a traffic collision in Hemet on Sunday night, June 22, 2025.
According to the Hemet Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:00 p.m. on South State Street near the address 1536 S. State Street.
A Kia compact car, occupied by multiple individuals, was pulling out of a driveway when it was struck by a northbound silver Toyota sedan.
Pastel W., 25, who was driving the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bailey W., 17, who was also in the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead at Riverside University Health Systems in Moreno Valley. The condition of other passengers in the Kia remains unknown at this time.
Authorities stated that the Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Hemet police confirmed that impaired driving is not suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
