A woman was struck and killed in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash while crossing Yosemite Boulevard in Modesto early Sunday morning, June 22, 2025.
According to the Modesto Police Department, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian down in the roadway near Yosemite Boulevard and Severin Avenue.
The woman was found unresponsive, and officers began CPR before she was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver, identified as 27-year-old Eloy D. of Modesto, was located shortly after the collision. He has been arrested and is facing charges of felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
The investigation is ongoing.
