Five people sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital following a head-on collision in Bonsall, San Diego County, on Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:56 p.m. near 7055 Via De La Reina and involved a gray Tesla and a gray Toyota Tundra. Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage and blocked both lanes of the roadway.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene, and a heavy-duty tow truck was requested around 3:11 p.m. Traffic was significantly impacted in both directions while responders cleared the site.
Witnesses nearby reported hearing the impact, though the extent of injuries was not immediately confirmed. The CHP Border Communications Center is handling the investigation.
